Reading has long been one of the author's favorite pastimes, no matter what the genre, but she's always had a lifelong love for sci-fi and fantasy and the way they can hold up a mirror to our lives and our world. Although the author doesn't believe in ancient aliens, she's always been fascinated by ancient cultures and the contributions they've made to our societies today. The author studied Germanics and Art History and enjoys learning languages, modern or dead, including a little Sumerian cuneiform and Old Saxon, but sadly, no Mayan (yet).
